I already have a form on my page, how do i select that form in Universal Email?

Figured it out, but still have some questions. I'm working on a form that was pre-created using Dreamweaver.

I was able to use Validation Toolkit on the form, which I did first. Then I used the Create Email Message which was located under the WebAssist menu. I uploaded the form page, success page and webassist folder and it's contents to the server. I'm now at the point of testing the form page, but the validation isn't working. And, if I fill out all the fields, press submit, all that happens is that the form page reloads.

I'll attach the pages and the webassist folder contents.

I'd like to mention:
- I'm using the current version of CSS Form Builder
- that the form and success page are in a sub folder
- I put a php dynamic value in the From field of the Email Message dialog box (I've done this before on a different website w/o problems, but??)

Thanks for any help.

For the validation you should use server validation instead of client side validation:

client sie validation is not that reliable and can be easily disabled, whereas server validation is much more robust.

Thank you. What is the best way to remove the client side validation that is currently added to my form page? I am thinking it is good to remove that before I add the server validation.

open the behaivors tab, select the form tag in design view, and remove the onsubmit events.

I made sure, in DW, to have the Windows > Server Behaviors panel open. Then went and clicked on the form <tag> in design view. But all I see is Universal Email. If I'm very careful in code view, can I just delete the onsubmit="code" from the form. And then delete the validation javascript inside the head tag?

not the server behaviors tab, the behaviors tab.

if you prefer, yes, you can delete the onsubmit code.

I'm having problems with the server validation.

for the server variable, click the lightning bolt icon and select the form element you wish to validate from the bindings panel.

The lightning bolt icon does not give me the form elements to choose from. What I get is a Setup Instruction box that says to set up a site testing server which is not something I have.

to be able to use dynamic data, a testing server must be defined in the dreamweaver site.

this can be set to use your remote server if no local server is set up, but the testing server settings are needed for dynamic development.
