When trying to create a checkout page with the checkout wizard, the order summary can be stored in the database. The database connection used in the application is properly listed in the connection listbox. However, if I choose this connection, nothing happens. When I click "next", I get the error message "Please select a valid connection to continue".

If I click the "define" button and test the connection in the connection manager, it checks out without error. So I don´t understand what is invalid about the database connection, and unfortunately the error message gives no real information about the problem either.

What needs to be done to make the checkout wizard recognize a connection as valid?

Try changing the connection to none and then reselecting the valid connection.

Or unisntall eCart, the reinstall it.

if you continue to have a problem, please provide some more details:
What is your OS?

What Version of Dreamweaver?

What Version of eCart?

What other extensions, including the version numbers are installed?

Thank you for your reply.
I have tried to select no database and then the valid connection again, but to no avail.
I have already tried to uninstall and reinstall eCart twice.

The OS is Windows XP SP 3.
The DW version is DW CS3 Version 9.0 Build 3481.
The eCart version is 5.0.6

The only other extension installed is DataBridge version 1.1.0.

The latest version of eCart 5 is 5.0.7

the latest version of Data bridge is version 1.1.6

uninstall the previous versions from the extension manager, then reinstall the newer versions

I have uninstalled both extensions and installed the latest versions. The extension manager now reads Data Bridge 1.1.6 and eCart 5.0.7.

Unfortunately, this has not affected the problem at all. The database selection in the checkout wizard still behaves in exactly the same way.
