Framework UI just flashes when trying to add a dynamic dynamic plugin

When I go to add a dynamic plug in to a page the UI just pops up for about a half second and then goes away. Nothing is added to the site.

I am using the latest Design Extender and DW CC (Up to date)

I assume you have a PHP page open when trying to add the plugin?

Have you tried uninstalling design Extender and reinstalling?

also reset the workspace layout:
go to Window -> Work Space layout -> Reset '<your layout name>'

and Delete the Dreamweaver Cache file from the users configuration folder:
