Cannot connect to server when trying to Insert Content with Power CMS

Cannot connect to server when trying to Insert Content with Power CMS

When I try to insert content, the Connection is grayed out. If I click on Define connection and then test it, I get an error. The error is: "An unidentified error has occurred" and then I get an error that says "Errors occurred when connecting to your database." I know the connection string is correct. It is being hosted on Go Daddy. I host name, database name, user name, and password ... all correct. I've copied from directly from Go Daddy. Thank you.

Double check the site settings for the testing server.

Make sure the site testing server is properly set to connect to the Go Daddy FTP Server.

Double check the correct Site URL is used for the web URL Setting.

If the FTP Connection connects below the site root, you may need to enter a root directory.

The testing server and remote server are both Go Daddy. For the Web URL, I'm using the IP address, because the domain has not transferred yet. Will this not work with Power CMS? My FTP account puts me directly into the root of the site as well. Thanks!

if you put the ip address in a web browser, does it work?

the web URL you use in the site definition must be one that you can use to browse to the site using a web browser.

When you make a database connection, DW will use that address to connect to the web and test the connection to the DB Server.

No, I can't browse it by IP Address. I have a special URL to enter, northstarministorage.com.previewdns.com. Is this what needs to be entered into the URL in the FTP setup in Dreamweaver?
