Xampp Apache will not start. MySQL error.

When I start xampp and then when I cliick start on apache nothing happens. It gets stuck on attempting to start. I don't know how to fix this so I haven't tried anything.

MySQL is giving me this error also and will not start as well.
Error-->2:04:50 PM [mysql] Problem detected!
2:04:50 PM [mysql] Port 3306 in use by "C:\xampp\mysql\bin\mysqld.exe"!
2:04:50 PM [mysql] MySQL WILL NOT start without the configured ports free!
2:04:50 PM [mysql] You need to uninstall/disable/reconfigure the blocking application
2:04:50 PM [mysql] or reconfigure MySQL and the Control Panel to listen on a different port

Hi
That should be a firewall setting. Allow port 3306 to use your network connection.
However, it is hard to tell more, without knowing what OS you are on.

Hope this helps anyway

Greetings

Willi

the error is saying "Port 3306 in use by "C:\xampp\mysql\bin\mysqld.exe"!"

in other words an instance of the XAMPP MySQL Service is already started.

Try rebooting the computer, if you need further assistance, visit the xampp forums:
