sudden 500 internal server error

After months of working ok, one of my power stores is throwing an error.

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@sporthillteam.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

This store uses a username/password to access the store, so probably part of the issue. But it was working fine up until now.

ah… I understand… you are saying when you commented it out, it worked, so you are identifying the issue, not the solution. Gotcha. Thanks!

I dont know the solution. But i do know the issue is not caused by WebAsssit software, it is caused by the htaccess rules.

I am not an expert at creating htaccess rules to be honest.
