Forms >> Insert CAPTCHA shared.js error

Forms >> Insert CAPTCHA shared.js error

I'm using Dreamweaver CC.

When I try to insert a CAPTCHA, the process is riddled with errors, the like of which is shown below. Eventually, the Captcha is placed.

I have the latest version of eCart, DE and DB - these are the only extensions I have apart from Adobe's Deprecated Panel, uninstalled and reinstalled in the prescribed order and have deleted the cache file..

Extremely annoying and disruptive to workflow.

Any ideas?

TIA
Andrew

Reset the workspace layout:
go to Window -> Work Space layout -> Reset '<your layout name>'

and Delete the Dreamweaver Cache file from the users configuration folder:

Hi Jason,

I'd already done that - but, I did it again, anyway! It made absolutely no difference.. :(

Do you have a plan B?

What extensions including the version numbers are installed?

Close Dreamweaver, then in the users configuration folder, try deleting eh folder named wrokspace.

Deprecated Panel Support 1.0.0
eCart 5.07
Design Extender 1.1.5
Data Bridge 1.1.4

Deleting the Workspace folder didn't help either!

Hi Jason,

Just to confirm, I DID delete the Workspace folder - it made no difference.

Hi Jason,

I managed to solve this myself (I think) after some research - by removing all the extensions and recreating the configuration folder in ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver CC/en_US.

Might be worth creating a sticky to do this as a last resort, if all else fails?

Best,

Andrew

That was going to be my next suggestion, it is step 12 of the adobe troubleshooting guide:

As much as it solved the majority of the problems, editing the catcha still causes the problem to reappear, but it's not as annoying - yet :)
