How do i install duplicate suppression for paypal submit button

I have a client who is all of a sudden having issues with duplicate charges for some customers. His orders on his website only show one submission but paypal charges the customers several times. Paypal stated that duplicate suppression should be installed.

I'm not familiar with installing duplicate suppression, refer to paypals documentation for details on that.

But you can add an onclick event to the submit order button to prevent it from being clicked more than once:

onclick="this.disabled=true;this.value='Sending, please wait...';this.form.submit();"

Thanks Jason,
I am using the ecart confirm page that was created. The submit button already has this on it: onclick="history.back();return false;
Is it ok to replace with what you have above?

thats the modify button, not the submit order button.
