Test if email is sending

I think there is a way to test if a form on my website is sending emails by having it print at the top of the page, but I can't remember what the php code is I need to add to my page.

I am sure I am able to see send=true or send=email@website.com just to prove that the page is working.

I am asking because for some reason my website has stopped sending email, but the page is functioning, and the mail boxes are functioning... it's just the connection between the two that's not I think, but I need to prove it to be the case for my host as they are struggling to see there is an issue!

Could you remind me of the code please?

Thanks.

On the page that the email redirects to add the following code:

php:
<?php @session_start(); var_dump($_SESSION); ?>

this will write the session contents to the page which will include a send status.

Thanks Jason...

Turns out it was the connection between the web server and the mail server. Apparently, a queue had built up and blocked it.. whatever that means!

I will save and use this again I am sure!
