Jamie

update page and visibility

Hey Jason

Have attached an update page that I have created for a backend.

As you can see, I have set it so that the first 3 entries (live, page list name and url) are only visible to super admin.

The problem is that when you are logged in just as normal admin and you update the page, the content from those 3 columns gets deleted from the database.

how do I go about keeping the functionality that I want and not have the data deleted?

cheers

Jamie

use hidden elements of the same name and bound top the recordset.

The workflow is to have regular text boxes displayed for the Super admin, but identical hidden elements on the page for the regular admin.

thats brilliant thanks Jason

only snafu off the back of that is that when loged in as super admin I cant update those fields.... do I use security assist show region to select admin for the hidden elements?

yes, use the security assist show region around the text elements so they are only included for super admin and around the hidden elements so they are only included for admin.
