How can I override styles used from a client copying and pasting from Word?

How can I override styles used from a client copying and pasting from Word?

I have a stylesheet attached to the site, but my client has copied and pasted her text from Word, and so the inline styles from Word have taken over. The styles are really ugly, and don't fit with the rest of the site. Is there any way that I can override the styles that are inline? I have tried to use !important on the stylesheet, but it won't override it.

Thanks in advance!

word puts styles inline, so they will over ride your css.

When pasting from word, you should use the paste Form word tool, this will strip the word styles away so that your sites styles can take over.

Thanks... and what settings do I change so that I can get rid of this message? (On a Mac using Safari)

"Because of your browser security settings, the editor is not able to access your clipboard data directly. You are required to paste it again in this window."

Even if I paste it after using the Paste from Word tool, it still pastes in the inline css.

There is not a way to over ride that alert, fopr security reasons, web browsers are not allowed direct access to the clip board.

If the paste from word tool is not removing some styles, use the past as plain test tool instead.
