Add print button to results page

Add print button to results page

My current results page is not formatting properly when I go to print it, so I would like to add a print button to the page in order for users to print the complete results page in a clean format. Is there a way to do this?

you need to create a print css file to control how the page looks printed.

found this page through google:

Thank you, I have attempted this step and it has helped some, but it still only prints one page, rather than the entire table of results. Do you happen to know a solution for this? Thank you for your assistance.

i dont follow, is your results page showing more records than are being printed?

the print function should print all the info that is showing on the page.

No, rather than printing everything that is showing, it is only printing what fits on one page. I found that I don't have this issue with every browser, only Firefox, so I don't know if that could be contributing to the issue.
One other thing I would like to do in order to also solve this issue, is to place a button on page to be able to send the results table as an email. Is there a way to do this so that it also prints every result given for the current search?
Thanks for your help!

In the print settings for the browser make sure to select the option to print all pages. this is a browser settings problem, it wont be able to be changed by code on the web page.

In Universal Email, select the option to use a page for the email body and select the results page.

Yes, thank you, I am, of course, aware of needing to check browser settings, but that has not solved the issue for me or my users.

For the email, I was easily able to change the email body, but I wasn't able to set up the option for a user to enter the email (preferably to and from, if not just to) once they have viewed the results. Is this not possible with email feature?

all of the print settings are specific to the browser, and cannot be controlled by the material being printed.

as for entering the to and from address, create a form on your page, add text fields for the to address and the from address.

In UE click the lightning bolt next to the to address and select the to form element

For the from address, most servers require that the from address be a valid email address for your domain, click the from button and in the advanced from settings you can bind the Reply to Address to the from form element.
