CSSMenuWriter Type is bolder than regular type?

I have a site that uses CSSMenuWriter and, alongside it, I use a seperate button for the "home page". The text for this button uses exactly the same settings as CSSMenuWritier, yet it appears lighter, somehow thinner, than the text in the menu.

Here is my code for the home button:
.homebtn {float:left;display:block;width:138px;height:41px;text-decoration: none;font-family: Georgia, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 24px;font-style: normal;font-weight: normal;color:#000000;outline:none;text-align:center;padding-top:9px;}

Here is the code in the menu:
ul#cssmw > li > a {
background-image: none;
border-left: solid 1px #000000;
color: #000000;
display: block;
font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif;
font-size: 24px;
font-style: normal;
font-weight: normal;
height: 41px;
margin: 0 0 0 0;
padding: 9px 0 0 0;
text-align: center;
text-decoration: none;
width: 138px;
}

Hope someone can shed some light. Thank you.

I dont see an issue with the home button, it is displaying the same as the other buttons for me, I have tried multiple browsers.

IE8! Oops!

Sorry Jason, I should have specified IE8. :o(
I guess it's a browser that's simply gone these days and you can't cover everything.
Thanks for getting back on it though.

I only have IE 10 for testing, but setting IE 10 developer tools to use the IE 8 engine, I cannot reproduce the problem.
