DataAssist formatting and validation

I am continually disappointed at the start of each project that the latest DataAssist extension is useless to me, forcing me to use the older version.
The extra code you arbitrarily include for validation is inefficient and a terrible annoyance and presenting tabular data in CSS makes no sense at all. You force users to have all form fields the same width and complicate page updates.

Please, PLEASE, PLEASE fix this extension and restore the uncluttered, uncomplicated structure from DataAssist 2. It was perfect the way it was.
