Open dollar amount field submit to the cart

I have created a few items on a clients shopping cart that are open for pricing. This is an internal page and they have 3 items that they would like to manually enter in the price. I have put the "add to cart" buttons in place with 0 dollar value and a text field directly above that to enter in the amount that they choose. I'm I approaching this correctly and if so, how do I get the text fields to submit to the cart for a dollar value? I've attached the files, any direction would be greatly appreciated!

in the add to cart button, set the price field for those products to be updateable from a text field, that will create the price text field on the page and link it to the cart.
