jpg compression

The "Upload Files" behavior is compressing my JPGs even though the image size of the original is exactly the same as set in the upload wizard. I would like to turn off file compression or set it to a known value that doesn't destroy the quality of the original.

My original file is: 450 x 450 pixels and the size of the file on my desktop is 50.8kb
The uploaded file is: 450 x 450 pixels and the size of the file on my desktop is 35.1kb
I can see the compression noise in the image when I view them both in Photoshop.

Settings in the upload wizard are:

Page 1:
Web images only - checked (if this is not checked, "Image Options" is grayed out on the second page)
Format: Keep existing format
If File Exists - Overwrite

Page 2:
I am creating three files on the server. All are set to "Fixed width and height"
Image 1: 450x450 (same as the original)
Image 2: 120x120
Image 3: 30x30

Set the Web Images only option, convert to JPG and select the highest quality.

Thanks Jason! I have been limiting uploads to jpgs so I have always set the extension for "Keep existing format". I didn't realize the setting was available there.

Thanks again...
