Modifying Field Settings and Validations

Modifying Field Settings and Validations

I have set up a login system and included password encryption, and admin / user level authentication.

I went to test and found that i had accidentally put a password type input on the username (when I want it to show real text) and it is set to a minimum number of characters (which I don't want to have). Inversely, I have accidentally put the password as text instead of the required password input (eg ***). (as attached)

Can you tell me how to modify this. I have tried clicking on the server behaviors etc but can't figure it exactly (ideally it would be great to find / edit the content as it shows on this page : )

in design view, select the user name field, then switch to code view.

it will have the code for the user name form element highlighted.

the element will start as:
<input type=password"

change that to:
<input type="text"
