paypal payments standard

I purchased PowerStore 4 recently and on your website PayPal Payments Standard is listed as an option for the payment gateway but in the settings it doesn't appear to be an option. Am I missing something? PayPal Express could work but I would need a custom button and my attempts at styling the button have not been successful.

PayPal standard was removed from Power Store 4.5.2.

It was removed due to limitations in the IPN Processing that where causing some of the features of power store to act erratically in the order history section.

PyaPal Express is a free service that is almost identical to the paypal standard payment process, but with out the limitations of IPN

hi Jason

Unfortunately this is not correct. Just spoke with PayPal and Express does not allow for any payments unless the user has a PayPal account.

Is there any chance the issues with Standard will be fixed and the powerstore system be upgraded to handle this again?

That is not true, the PayPal Express system allows for checkout without a paypal account if you like.

When the user gets to the paypal page for express checkout, they will have the option to Login, or they can select to use a credit card without creating a paypal account.

is it possible to set up as express now and if my client chooses, change over to PRO late easily?
