File Manipulation - Download

Thread began 4/05/2013 5:35 pm by wellsjm435768 | Last modified 4/07/2013 5:44 am by wellsjm435768 | 956 views | 5 replies |

File Manipulation - Download

I attempted to place 3 separate buttons on a single page to download 3 separate files. When I tested the page each button downloaded the same single file instead of the individual file intended.

THIS IS WHAT I WANT

Button 1 downloads File 1
Button 2 downloads File 2
Button 3 downloads File 3

THIS IS WHAT I AM GETTING

Button 1 downloads File 1
Button 2 downloads File 1
Button 3 downloads File 1

How can I accomplish this task?

Thanks in advance.

You will need to add three separate forms to the page.

each form should contain a Submit button and a hidden element.

In each form, set the name of the hidden element to be the same. The value of the hidden element should be the name of the file to delete,

in the download behavior, bind the file name to the hidden element.

I got the download to work, but when the files are downloaded, they all have the same name. I attached the file for you to look over.

Thanks Jason

you have 3 instances of the file download behavior, you only need to have one instance.

on that one instance, for the save as setting, set it to:
[FileName]

this will use the downloaded file name as the save as file name.
