Aus GST compliance

Hi, i have been tempted to purchase WA products, in particular ecart. As an Australian i have concerns with GST compliance and have read with alarm that no dreamweaver extenstions fully comply with Australian Tax Office rules. Has there been any updates or do you have any further information on a simple fix in the code if purchased.

Thanks,
Matt.

The tax rules in eCart can be customized, I'm not familiar with the Australian tax rules. can you provide some details on how the tax rules should work? I can then provide some guidance on how you can creates these tax rules in eCart.

Aus gst compliance

Hi, thanks for the quick reply, i've read excellent reviews regarding your support and extensions, justified. We have an annoying system in that we have to display a total pre GST, another with just the GST (Gst 10% uniform) and a total which is GST inclusive (example below). Also we need to supply a tax invoice to that effect which must say tax invoice/ statement (last bit easy enough). As an added degree of difficulty there are some fresh food products eg. staples like bread, milk, vege, etc. that are GST exempt. As i have the possibility of a rich vein of work with grocery stores, that is obviously a key point. I have read previous posts on WA on this issue, just wondering if there had been any recent developments.

product. $10.00
GST. $1.00
Product inclusive of GST. $11.00

Thanks in advance,
Matt.

you can do this using the calculations tab of the eCart object

on the calcaultions tab, create 2 new calculations as:

Name: GST
Type : Currency
[Price] * 0.1

Name: GSTInclusive
Type : Currency
[Price] + ([Price] * 0.1)

when adding the display manager to the page, you can select to include these 2 calculation, so that each line item will show the price, the GST amount, and the GST + Price amount.
