Update a Concatenate field

Update a Concatenate field

Hello
I am using a mysql view in an update page.

The view has a concatenated field which joins a folder name "image" and a image name, so the field reads image/myimage.jpg

I wish to be able to update some fields when using the view but on update I get an error message
Column 'PathImage1' is not updatable.

I was under the impression that a concatenated field allows an update. As it happens there is no requirement to update the image.
The field text code is not used just an image is used. (There is no text box for the field).

Hope I being clear.
Many thanks
John

vies are not updatable

you need to update the table, and update each column independently.
