Update Flash

Hello,
The Extension finds that the version of Flash is outdated. There is no means to update this successfully.

Steps taken:
Update Flash using the view in the Extensions Display window (Fails)
Manual Update to all browsers in System (Mac OS Mountain Lion) - no change Extension error
Delete .dat file - no change to error

I'm using dynamic values so not too concerned about the preview BUT the problem of the outdated Flash extension seems to jack up the data tab (see screen shot)

Tested on two Macs (Macbook Pro - retina and MacPro ) both with latest OS and latest versions of the extension. Same problems encountered.

Where are you loading the Flash extension? Safari browser iFrame?

It should be using the flash version from the safari browser which is the default browser in Mac OSX.

if you are not worried about the preview, you should be able to work around the problem by disabling the preview.

go to WebAssist -> Preferences in the preview section, check the Disable preview option.

:-( Removed the preview by ticking the checkbox but still the preview and flash problem occur. Note also (see screenshot) the latest Flash is installed on Safari.

Also restarted DW to be sure the preference set.

Is there a solution?
I get the same error. I'm sure the last flash player is installed. (Shockwave Flash 11.9 r900 — from file “Flash Player.plugin”)

This is an issue with the flash version that is embedded in the Dreamweaver webkit version used by live view.

in some cases, I have been able to fix this by creating a page with a flash object on it and using the DW live view to preview the flash, this sometimes allows the web Kit version to update the flash, but not always.
