Either very serious bug or I am missing something

Either very serious bug or I am missing something

Hello,

I have two stores configured in CafeCommerce, both associated with PayPal Advanced accounts set up according to the steps in: 9

I just discovered that if I go to either store, add some items in my shopping cart, and proceed to the page where PayPal stuff is rendered; the order is considered complete *BEFORE* I enter any payment details. If I abandon the cart at this stage, the order is recorded as "Completed" according to CafeCommerce, but no payment is made.

Am I missing something major? Does anyone else observe this behavior?

Are there additional steps to disable test purchases on the PayPal side of things (beyond changing "Transaction Process Mode" from "test" to "live")?

Thanks for your help.

So is this affecting everyone? I would be very suprised if I was the first one to notice.

Are there any estimates on when this might be fixed? We have customers wondering about their "completed" orders for which they never made a payment.

Thanks for your help.

RE:Either very serious bug or I am missing something

Hello,

I am having a similar problem with my site.

The customer's order is listed as complete on the exported .csv file once they reach checkout and prior to paying with PayPal Advanced. I am selling league memberships that are limited and having a hard time determining whether the customer has in fact entered payment and its an error on our end or this is just an abandoned cart that needs to be marked as such on the csv?

ALSO, meant to mention in original post - The other large problem is that the item is taken out of my inventory once they hit the checkout page prior to payment. This makes for tricky inventory monitoring when you have abandoned carts.

Thanks in advance!
