Incorrect settings for Paypal UK

I have used eCart with Authorise.net and WorldpYa but never with paypal before so I am hoping someone from WebAssist can help me with some issues I am having which I think are related to settings in eCart...

I am using 'PayPal Website Payments Pro UK' and when I click the "Express checkout" button I always get redirected to the pp_failure.asp page without any messages or errors reported. For express checkout do I need the API signature as well as the email and password for this feature to work?

When paying using a credit card or debit card I am redirected to checkout_failure.asp, I get error code 26 returned; unknown vendor. Now obviously I know this is in relation to the information I provided when I set up the checkout pages but I need to know which information is wrong...

User: I used the email address registered to the Webiste Payments Pro account
Vendor/Merchant ID: I used the same email address; should I have used the long string value e.g. Hse24rfjYh etc?
Password: paypal password for website Payments Pro

Thanks
Simon

The reason for both checkout methods failing is likely the same.

Paypal Pro UK is basically the same as Payflow Pro. When logged into your Paypal account, you should get Payflow pro Api credentials, The following thread has more details:
