Fields loosing data on Submit

Hello
I am using a page with validation.
When a submit button is pressed and some fields with validations are blank the completed fields loose the already entered data.

How can the entered data be retained?

I am sure I have seen the answer this previously at WA but cant recall where.
Can you please remind me.
Many thanks

John

In the bindings panel, there s a binding group named Validated entries

in design view, select each form element, in the properties inspector, click the lightning bolt next to initial value and select the corresponding validated entries binding.
