Reset form button

I have got a search included by the DA wizard which works fine, but the form retains the search results that were last used unless I manually clear them and do a new search without any criteria set. Is it possible to add a reset button to the search form? If so, how? I have tried, but the reset didn't take effect and I can't figure out why.

Thanks.

I'm trying to add a reset button on my results page, but the information from the link you provided for instructions above isn't working. I don't see the session variable WADbSearch1_<page_name> on the bindings panel.

Also, when I click the plus while on the URL and try to add a url variable with the name "reset", nothing gets added.

use the OS file manager to browse to your site files and delete the _notes folder

this should allow you to create the URL Variable binding.

if the session is not in the list, you will need to create that binding as well.

Ok, deleting the _notes worked.

Now, going to WebAssist > Cookies > Set Session Value.

Trigger is: Button Search Pressed

Name: WADbSearch1_ecm_log_results

Value:

I have no clue what goes in the value field!

use the Clear Session Value behavior not the set session value behavior, the idea is to clear the session, not set it.

There is no session variable to clear in the list.

You told me if no session variable is in the list, I would need to create the binding. I thought that was what I was doing.
So then, how do I create the binding?

on the bindings panel, click the plus button and select Session Variable, then input the name to use for the new binding.

Ok, I did that and it still isn't working.

please provide more details.

"still isn't working" could mean any number of things.

What, specifically, is not working?
