shopping cart submitting incorrectly

shopping cart submitting incorrectly

Hello,

We created a shopping cart some time ago for this project and recently added two new products. It appears that some of the products (specifically Holiday Cupcakes and Babycakes) now are not submitting to the cart or are submitting but incorrectly to the order display page e.g. showing either the wrong product or just adding to an existing item. I have looked at the "add to cart" buttons and the data seems to be correct. Not sure what is happening???

I've attached the files.

thanks,

Jackie

do you have a link where i can see the problem occur?

does it happen when adding a specific product? or all products?

Hi Jason,

The direct link is cupcakes.php

It only happens on the all of Holiday Cupcakes and towards the bottom on all Babycakes

the only ones i can reproduce with are the 2 at the top:

Holiday Assorted Dozen
Holiday Assorted 6 Pack

the problem with those 2 are that they have the same ID. They both use the same ID because you are using the same recordset in the add to cart button behavior for them, but using different recordsets for the display.

Thank you, I see that now on the Holiday cupcakes. I'm still baffled with the Babycakes. They will not submit to the cart at all. Any thoughts?

It adds to the cart for me. Maybe I'm doing something different. What browser? What operating system? Which product exactly? Describe your exact experience so I can investigate it further.

Hi Ray,

If you scroll down to the "Babycake" section at cupcakes.php I tried to order any of the babycakes in both Explorer and Google Chrome using Windows 7 and on an iPad (Safari) and was not successful. Babycakes are located directly below the "Partyline" cupcakes on the above link. When I attempt to order (add to cart) it submits back to the same page (cupcakes.php)

Hope this helps. Thanks, Jackie

OK, I see those don't work for me. I seem to recall you have had this issue before and it had something to do with your recordset set up. If you can attach a copy of that page I can take a look and see if I can spot the problem.

It looks like you have a 12 cupcake minimum enforced for those items. They add to cart if you add 12 or more.
