Update picture/photo

Jason,
I’m having trouble with updating the photo. When I update a record - say only the email part of a record, and if the record already has a photo on file – when the update takes place the photo is deleted.
I’ve read ‘Adding Digital File Pro to DataAssist Insert and Update Pages’, but it doesn’t make sense in my context ‘cause I built the ‘Update Page’ with CSS Form Builder. The article talks about hidden fields, but I don’t understand it – seems I have to create a new field or something!

Attached is the php page which may be of assistance to you:

yes, you need to create a hidden element, bind the hidden element to the image column being returned from the recordset on the update page, then in the Upload file behavior, bind the default file setting to the hidden element.

Brilliant, that worked for me. I'm almost there with my project and I'm really beginning to appreciate the WebAssist product and the support around the product. As I said before it takes a bit of learning especially for the novice, but with learning comes the appreciation.

I'm down to the last module of my project - the searching and displaying of results - and I've covered most of that with you in previous threads - but I'll break for the night and submit the thread tomorrow - thanks!
