Update an item status once purchased

Update an item status once purchased

Hi Jason,

I need to setup a function on eCart that once an item is purchased the item will get updated as sold. The items would be one of a kind things, so it is only available until someone purchases.

I am thinking on the checkout - (the checkout success page) that it would run this loop to update in items that were purchased when the page loaded.

Am I thinking along the correct lines?

thx
Eric

PayPal PRO

With paypal pro, you would add the code to loop through the cart contents and update the quantity on the confirm page, after the code that processes the transaction.

WHat code contains the cart on the confirm page?

Or do I need to create a record set pulls the cart content and apply a repeated update feature?

thx

the eCart object contains information about the items ordered.

you need to create a loop through the items in the cart, a recordset to lookup the items inventory count, and an update to use for updating the inventory based on the cart quantity.

if you need assistance creating this, we can help in a premiere support appointment.
