To upgrade or not to upgrade?

To upgrade or not to upgrade?

Hello there

I have a dilemma - I have a half-built site which has already taken a lot of hours and I see now that the site could use some of the new functionality offered by Databridge - dynamic dropdowns, captcha controlled forms etc.
If I purchase the upgrade would the old extensions still work within the development or would I have to start from scratch?

Thanks for your help

what older extension have you been using on the site (include version numbers)?

most likely there wont be a problem, but i'll need more details.

Data Bridge uses a newer version of Data Assist and Universal Email.

it wont be a problem to edit the pages that are already created, but one thing to note is that the include files are now placed in the webassist folder. when editing pages created from a previous version, the older include file paths not be removed, you may need to remove the older include file paths manually.

other than that, there should not be any problems upgrading to Data Bridge.
