Unique Database Entry

Hi,

I know how to check if the email adresse is allreday in the database. This works great in the registration form.

But how does it work in the send new password form. I want to check if the email is in the database and then do the right action.

Does this work with the server validation or do I have to create a recordset on my own an check if the email is inside?

Cheers,
Denis

hmm...let me see.

The Unique Database Value behavior checks if the email is in the table and generates an error.
But in my case, I want the email to be found in the table so I can go on with the Email Encrypted Password behavior.

I do it right now with a recordset like here showthread.php?t=19462

This works but the the wizzard it would be nicer and easier :-)

so for this case, you would need a recordset to lookup the entered email address, and set the trigger for the Email Encrypted Password behavior to use recordset not empty, that will trigger the behavior if the email address exists.

Jason,

the email encrypted password checks the email itself :-)
"If Look Up Differs" :-)

So no need for an extra recodset :-)
