Prevent deletion of associated records

just a quick query, as databridge doesn't create a delete page, as dataassist 2 did.

I have a set of reference tables, to which rows can be appended, updated or deleted.

I want to prevent deletion of (for example) a row where the colourid of a specific colour in the reference table is used in the tblproductcolour table, so I don't get orphan rows.

Beforehand it was relatively easy, i would have a recordset based on tblproductcolour on my delete page filtering by colourid, and if the rowcount was > 0 then deletion would be prevented.

What is the best way to do this ?

same process can be used in data bridge.

The delete works the same in data bridge as it it did previously.

the delete button sends the ID of the item to be deleted using the WADADeleteRecordID form element.

the only difference is that the delete is on the results page, and the delete form is populated by Javascript rather than loading a dedicated delete page.

you can add the same record set to the results page, and prevent the delete behavior form happening of the recordset is 0

Thats it, it was finding the WADADeleteRecordID that was the key.

Thanks again
