Free Tools Install takes long time

Free Tools Install takes long time

With Dreamweaver closed I've uninstalled all WA extensions except eCart, cleared the cache, reinstalled Design Extender, Data Bridge, then Free Tools. I've edited the Memento & RSS Feed xml files to be turned off. Installation for DE and DB went well, but installation for Free Tools has been going on for 30 minutes as of this missive and is less than 25% done.

I tried the install previously without uninstalling and reinstalling DE and DB, but after 1.5 hours I had to shut down the extension manager.

What am I missing or doing wrong?

It shouldn't take that long to install free tools. maybe the configuration folder has become corrupted.
try step 12 of the adobe troubleshooting manual:

troubleshoot-javascript-errors-dreamweaver-cs4.html#main_user_config
