Image upload question

Hi Jason,

When using the file upload and it is set as web images I want the resize option to size the image to be at MAX 600 pixels on the longest side WITHOUT adding any fill color.

So I use:

Fixed width and height - will resize all images to a specified width and height while maintaining the width-to-height ratio. If the resized image does not completely match the specified width and height, a fill color is applied.

and I do not select a fill color so it will therefore not add any color and the image will retain the WxH ratio.

Is that correct?

thx
Eric

  WITHOUT adding any fill color.

to not add a fill color, you will need to use the Fit Box, fit Width or Fit Height options.

using the Fixed width and height option will add a fill color if the uploaded image is smaller than the resize dimensions.

Thanks Jason!

Using the FIT TO BOX option keeps the aspect ratio and it does NOT try to stretch the image to fill if the settings were resize to 600x600, correct?

using fit to box would crop the image width or height is the original aspect ratio did not match the 1:1 ration of 600X600

fit to width or fit to height would be better to maintain the aspect ration.
