Authenticate or Delete from a link

I am looking to create a Newsletter type system which allows people to Subscribe and Unsubscribe to emails.

The creation of the email isn't an issue and neither is the insert/Register form however I would like people to receive an authentication email (again not a problem) however I would like a link to be contained that the user clicks to authenticate their request - this I do not know how to do.

I would also like to create a link to unsubscribe their email address, which I also do not know how to do.

I am sure there are others here that have done this and would appreciate any pointers to get me going.

Many Thanks

Have you looked at our double opt in tutorial on the data bridge support page:
data-bridge/

i believe this is what you are trying to accomplish.

the unsubscribe link should pass the users ID from the users table as a URL variable.

unsubscripbe.php?userID=1

you can use the URL variable to perform the update to unsubscribe them.
