Web Assist Not Loading into CS6

Web Assist Not Loading into CS6

About a week ago I had a problem with Web Assist products not starting up. That was fixed by deleting the cache and reinstalling the extensions. Now today all of a sudden there are no Web Assist extensions present in Dreamweaver at all. I tried deleting the cache again, still no WA extensions.

Any suggestions?

GoTo Commands -> Manage Extensions.

Are the extensions listed there?

Are they enabled?

Are you using the CS6 version included in the Creative Cloud?

Adobe just recently released an update to the creative cloud that when installed, disables all extensions. the extensions need to be reenabled after the update is installed.

same problem

I am using windows 7 x64 and cs6, only extensions installed are ecart, design extender and databridge. the enabled box is ticked, but greyed out..

i can neither enable or disable them

do i need to re-install them ?

**update**

I removed all 3 extensions and reinstalled ecart.

the webassist dropdown menu is still not present, and according to the extension manager, the enabled check box is still greyed out.

i can however add an instance of the cart using server behaviours

**update 2**

Now re-installed all 3 extensions, got the Webassist Dropdown again, (Just realised that the ecart options don't appear in this dropdown, but in Insert->Webassist dropdown.

So it looks like reinstalling fixed the issue, (though my enabled checkboxes are still greyed out in the extension manager)

Same Problem

I am experiencing the same issues,

The extensions are all installed and enabled in extension manager, but do not appear within Dreamweaver CS6 Creative Cloud.

A simple fix is to uninstall the extensions and reboot then reinstall and they appear in Dreamweaver again, but this is a tedious task and can be pretty annoying doing it over and over again.

I first noticed this after a Dreamweaver update but this happened again this morning and no update has been applied.

One additional point worth noting is that the when you activate the products, the version number is undetectable or unidentifiable.

I did message Ray about this when I first encountered the issue at the last update and he was going to get the CC version and try and replicate the problem.

I hope this helps raise awareness of the issue and a fix can soon be implemented.

This is actually an issue with the way Adobe is reorganizing menu entries.

see this page from adobe for details:

I agree its a bit of a pain, but not something we will be able to do anything about.

Hi Jason, thanks for the info.
Sounds logical enough, I'll give it a go next time.
Strange how the Adobe Exchange & Wordpress codehinting extensions are unaffected??
