WA Server Validations - Alphanumeric Validation Not Working

Thread began 9/17/2012 10:57 am by dlovas275157 | Last modified 9/17/2012 1:53 pm by dlovas275157 | 908 views | 2 replies |

WA Server Validations - Alphanumeric Validation Not Working

On my registration form I have added the following server validations:

Email Address - required
Entry Length - Password must be 9 characters
Alphanumeric - Password must contain letters/numbers
Like Entry - Password and Confirm Passowrd entries must match.

All work except for the Alphanumeric Validation. FOr ex: If I enter a password of 123456789 it will pass, but should not since it is not alphanumeric.

Attached is my code. Please advise what I am doing wrong.

Thanks for any assistance.

alpha numeric does not enforce both letters and numbers. it only enforces that the entry is does not contain characters that are not letters or numbers.

your entry:

passes, because there are no none alpha numeric characters.

the validation is woking as expected.

to force at least one number and one letter in the string, you would need to use a regular expression validation:
