Taking PS offline?

Hi, i'm just starting to set this up and don't see an option for taking the store offline while working on it... am i missing something?

If its not an option, can i rename the directory that ps is in while working on it, then put it back to what it should be? i.e. mystore renamed to mystore1 ? are all paths relative while uploading images and such?

You can place the store in test mode and set the gateway to none while working on it, you should probably also add a note in the store message section of the main page that the store is not yet taking orders.

links in the store are site relative, so renaming the store folder would be a bad idea.

thanks... i tried to reply the other day but was getting an error... didn't want to ignore you :)

p.s. for extra safety i also just created an index.html "store closed for maintenance" ... just incase someone wandered in
