PayPal separate Shipping and Charges...

PayPal separate Shipping and Charges...

Hi There
Using Ecart 4.5.2 and a remote PayPal Standard gateway is there a way to make the PayPal Order Summary display the 'Shipping' and the 'Charges' separately?

My confirm.php page currently has the code...

<input type="hidden" name="handling_cart" id="handling_cart" value="<?php echo ($eCart1->GetShipping() + $eCart1->GetCharges()); ?>" />

If I separate the code into 2 hidden fields I can display just the 'Shipping', but the 'Charges' won't display as I don't know what to call the second hidden field and I really need them to be 2 different amounts on the PayPal pages...

<input type="hidden" name="handling_cart" id="handling_cart" value="<?php echo ($eCart1->GetShipping()); ?>" />
<input type="hidden" name="?????" id="?????" value="<?php echo ($eCart1->GetCharges()); ?>" />

Hope that makes sense
Many Thanks

No, paypal does not offer a separate variable that can be used to pass the charges. the need to be passed together as handling_cart.

Thanks Jason
Is there a way to change the wording on the PayPal Summary page then?
My cart is set up for free Shipping but there is an additional charge on certain product options so I set up ECart to have charges on certain conditions.

But when it goes to PayPal the charges are coming up under the title - 'Postage and packaging:' This is confusing for customers as it's actually free shipping.

So is there a way to change the title 'Postage and packaging:' to something like 'Additional Charges:'? Or do I need to rethink how the cart works???

no, sorry, paypal does not offer a way that I am aware of to change the label that shows on their site.

Hi Jason

I've decided to rework the way the cart works so that it's not important.

Thanks anyway :)
