Server Behaviours on Template File

Hi, im trying to apply server behaviour onto my template file however when i try to do this the server behaviour drop down on dreamweaver is greyed out. Could you tell me if it is possible to do this and if so how?

I am trying to display a "latest news" and "upcoming events" section down the side of every page which links to the data in my tables in mySQL.

Templates are intended for site design, not for adding dynamic content.

Dynamic Content can be added to a template, as long as the template is dynamic. A dynamic template would have it's name end in .dwt.php:
mytemplate.dwt.php

But, i don't recommend doing this. The issue is that with templates, you can either add all your sites dynamic content to the template, or you can add dynamic content to the individual pages. You cant mix and match though, you can have some dynamic content at the template level and other dynamic content at the page level.

To get around this limitation to Dreamweaver templates, use Framework builder that is included in Design Extender to convert the template to a theme.

the videos section of the design Extender support page:
design-extender/

has a tutorial titled "How to convert your site from DWT-dependent to theme-based" that walks through using Framework builder themes.
