slideshow now showing in Chrome

I have a client site that Has several photo gallerys plus a slide show on the home page. Client just emailed me to say the slideshow is not showing in Chrome. sometimes he can reload the page and it works. What I found is that I cannot get the slideshow to work unless I go into on of the photo gallerys and from there go back to the home page. Then the slide show starts. Any ideas?

chrome can be strict when dealing with iframes

in the iframe source, you are refering to the domain without the www:
<iframe scrolling="no" src="http://shetek.org/shetekgallery/galleries/slideshow_dissolve/index.php?gallery=23&theme=light " width="425" height="325" frameborder="0"></iframe>

this will fail to load properly if you visit the page using the www domain:
www.shetek.org

if you instead, visit the page using the same domain as the iframe source:
shetek.org

it will work.

Thanks for checking that out for me.

I never type in the http:// or the www. when browsing. just the domain name. I did change the iframe path to www.shetek.org

the slide show will start when I use either shetek.org or www.shetek.org but it will not show up when I use just the domain name shetek.org

is there a cure for this or is it something I will have to live with.

Jerry

No, this is a limitation to the way chrome works with iframes.
