random password
Hi, I have set up security assist many times but have never used random password. Is there a tutorial on this? Is there a page sequence. Not sure how to start with the wizard.

what is it you are trying to accomplish with a random password?
In the archived documentation section of security assist, the tutorial for Encryption walks through using the random password generator on the forgot password page to send a random password to the user if they forget their login.
The client wants a group login for group only access. User Id will be their email (which will already be in the database) and random password generated for first time users I assume emailed to them.
the forgot password page tutorial that i mentioned before will give you the basic idea of how to accomplish this.
I did get it to email a link to reset password and that would work for me but I had to change something and deleted that. So I can't remember how I did that now!! Can you tell me how I did that and what pages I need?
Thanks in advance
It was an email page, email is sent with link, and reset password page.
what version of security assist?
In SA2, if you use Encrypted passwords, the wizard generates pages to do what you describe, it's rather complex to put together not using the wizard though, I would recommend using the SA2 wizard to generate the forgot password page
But I have 2.05 but was getting errors. still getting some errors. I will give it a shot.
errors when running the wizard?
What are the errors?
Okay so I set that up and when I change the password, it will log me in.
But when when I look in the database I get an encrypted password and want the password to be the one they set up. How can I do this, without encryption on the new set up? I have posted a screen shot of the error and uploaded my files.
