Product Categories

Hello,

I am not familiar with php programming, but I wanted some help with the following (a bit confused about where to start with). I have a table called products and a table called productCategories. I would like to know how can I make it in a way that my menu will have a category called "products" and a sub menu with different categories (based on the categories I have in my database). Then I want the results page to load the results based on a category I chose.

I am sure it is a simple question but I definitely need help on that. If you have a step by step tutorial or any other documentation regarding that. I have the DataBridge, and the Design Extender. Can I do what I need in a simple manner with these 2 extensions?

If so, please let me know step by step how do I go about it.

Thank you and regards
