Update Multiple Records help...

Update Multiple Records help...

Background here is a search which returns a list of people, and from there allowing the site owner to email them using UE.

I have it all working in a couple of scenarios, but have a problem with one I am trying to finish off. The search works, and I should be able to use the same page for the email, so that part all works.

The little part that isn't is the updating the records returned in the search results - there's a field EmailList which just needs to be updated from N to Y for each of the search results. I've gotten as far as it updating one single record - if the results are ordered by Candidates.CandidateID ASC it will update the record with the highest ID.

I've attached the results page with the submit to same page form that should trigger the multiple update. If anyone could have a quick look I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks.

Set the value of the checkbox to use the ID column from the recordset.

In the Update Multiple records behavior, set the Repating form to use the checkbox repeat region, and set the Key Column to the CandidateID column

on the Bindings tab, set the value for the EmailList column to Y

Thanks Jason - just tried that. Although setting the EmailList value as the CandidateID field seems counter intuitive, but presumably it maps back later.

Either way, same results, ie just updating that same single field.

I've attached a version following the above instructions.

Thanks Jason - I'll look out for you on Skype. There's a bit going on on the page, so its probably something I've done somewhere, or even the particular order of some of the PHP at the top of the page catching me out.

Missed you at the end of last week - I'm around for the next couple of hours or so. If you have any time give me a shout on Skype? Thanks.
