Additional Charges causes paypal error?

I am using the eCart version 5.0.3

I have had a working cart for a while but I just added an additional charge option using the Charges tab in the ecart object window. Everything still works unless the additional charge is added to the cart and then it causes Paypal to return an error preventing payment (both Express & Pro checkout).

I assume this is because the total charge amount and product line item amount is not adding up due to the additional charge.

Any ideas what this could be?

I'm having a similar problem. When adding options to my product that tack on additional cost or add a percentage of the item's cost, I get a failed transaction with PayPal. It doesn't seem to happen with a single item with no additional costs. I've recreated my checkout pages a bunch of times already and still have this problem. Help?

You probably have to go in and update the paypal server behavior to make sure the correct total price including options is passed to their system. It is probably only passing the "Price" column so paypal fails when the total of the items in the cart don't add up correctly to match the total charge.
