Need help with recordset

Hi,

Our club membership database allows for one or two members per account (record)

So our member_accounts table has columns…
Membership_ID, FirstNameM1, LastNameM1, StatusM1, FirstNameM2, LastNameM2, StatusM2, address, city, state, zip, ...other stuff.

I need a help creating a single recordset that would produce the following results

If StatusM1 =”regular” and StatusM2 =”regular” the results would be…
FirstNameM1, LastNameM1, FirstNameM2, LastNameM2, address, city, state, zip

If StatusM1 =”regular” & StatusM2 <> ‘regular” (anything other than “regular”) the results would be…
FirstNameM1, LastNameM1, (null), (null), address, city, state, zip

Some day I would like to have the skills to split off the individual member data into it's own table with a relationship to the account table.

Thanks,
Dennis

can t really do this with a recordset.

you would need to code the php on the page that displays the results of the recordset to look at the value of the StatusM2 column, and if it is not regular, dont display the FirstNameM2, and LastNameM2 columns.

php:
<?php if($row_recordsetName["StatusM2"] == "Regular") echo($row_recordsetName["FirstNameM2"]." ".$row_recordsetName["LastNameM2"]); ?>
