Can we add extra file/fields on the fly?

Can we add extra file/fields on the fly?

Hello, I would like to ask you a question,

I have made a data entry form with a single image field, my table is like this;

id(pk), date, author, title, article, image

in some articles, I need to add more than one image, so I can keep a small plus sign (icon) next to my browse button, then if I click it, it can add another image field and so on....

can we do it with no hand coding but with data bridge?

Thank you

No, this is not supported in Data Bridge, you would need to have a separate file field, and upload behavior for file you wish to upload.

Can we upload multiple images to a separate table with articles table's primary key?

Thank you Jason, I need to clarify more, as I said in my previous question, I need to add multiple uploads, may be I can use another table to add images with my current table's PK (my articles table) as images table's FK, so when I add article, can it add those images to my images table with my article's current id, so then we can get those images with this article by FK id, but I need to get an increasing method to add extra images, because befault, I will be only one upload field, so like I said, when I click an "ADD" button it can appear next upload field. I think there should be a way to do it as custom scripts have this function.

Thank you

Hi Zulian,

What you are describing sounds very much like a Jquery upload plugin.

Something like www.uploadify.com/

To implement something like this you would need to do some hand coding though.

Cheers

Uploadify is something similar???

Hi Ian,
Thank you very much, and yes uploadify is something kind of I need, but I know know how to do it with web assist extensions, will it record all the images to my table? I need to retrieve images by article id.

Any idea/help is appreciated

Thanks again

this is not supported functionality in our extensions, it would requirer hand coding to accomplish this.
