Godaddy/Dreamweaver database connection error

Godaddy/Dreamweaver database connection error

I keep running into an error when connecting to the database for powerCMS.

I have all information correct for the connection itself. When I try to add to PCMS from dreamweaver I am getting the error attached.

I've tried using the IP address of the db server and currently am using the server location string.

I looks like it's going through the motions of uploading what it needs to for the initial files but when I try to add the info I get this error.

I have not been able to get to the point where I can upload the admin files yet and I have called Godaddy and they say there are no connection issues or restriction from an outside source.

Any suggestions?

this is a problem with the Settings for Connecting to the testing server in the site definition.

In the testing server settings, you have used the FTP server address for the URL PRefix.

the URL Prefix should be the web site URL that you would type into your browsers address bar to access the site.

This is solved now thanks

Just FYI, I have found that part of the connection issue is Dreamweaver's default URL (website address) in the site configuration.

After setting up FTP the website URL defaults to ftp.websitename.com so its trying to associate FTP as the website address. The FTP needs to be removed to read www.websiteaddress.com or websiteaddress.com. Once I removed that I had not trouble connecting to the database.

Server Error

All day I've been checking out the store that I created and I was trying to make it go live when I got this error on all of my pages. I checked the site definition and there is no "FTP" anywhere. So, now none of the pages that I created show up. Here's the error message: Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): The server closed the connection without sending any data. I re-put all of the pages and still no luck.
Thanks,

Never Mind....Norton Antivirus took care of it...Thanks!
