Can't use localhost on remote server - Dreamweaver crashes

I have set up my testing server with xxamp and have phpmyadmin running also. When I set up the testing database, I used localhost for the host connection. However, I cannot use 'localhost' for my remote server because I use 1and1.com for hosting. The actual name I have to use for the remote server is dbxxxxxxxxxx.db.1and1.com.

When I try to use Dataassit to create the pages, it says first it has to upload the connections file, but then it crashes Dreamweaver.

What do I do since 1and1.com requires a different name for the remote server?

Thanks, Brian

Installed Dynamic MySql Connection

I have now installed Dynamic MySql Connection and configured it for my testing server (localhost) and a second installation for the remote server at 1and1.com.

However, when I attempt to use WebAssist Dataassit Pages, I receive a notice that the connections file has to be uploaded first. It asks if I want to upload the related files, I said now, next it says "Creating Pages" and then Dreamweaver CS6 crashes.

I've deleted the temp file in the config file of Dreamweaver and have even shut down and restarted the PC, but I cannot stop Dreamweaver from crashing during the WebAssist Create Pages.
