Register to database

Seems like I've run across some documentation here concerning changes to the Register button behavior to get the tool to write the record to the database. However, I've been searching and can't seem to find it. Could you point me to that info? Thanks.

Do you mean creating a register / signup form that inserts the information into a database, that you can later call on for login information?

If so, you will need to use Data Assist / Data Bridge for that either through use of the wizards or manually creating a form and using the Insert Record behaviour.

Cheers
Ian

Thanks Ian,

Are you saying that after using SecurityAssist to create Login, Logout, Register, etc. pages that I need to use DataAssist or DataBridge to get the Register page to write the data to the database and the Login page to access that database?

No, the registration page created by the Security Assist wizard should already be inserting the registration information to the database.

Your initial question is a little fuzzy, are you saying the registration page created by security assist is not working?

If so, please provide some more details like errors you are getting and a copy of the page so I can examine the code.

Ah, you didn't make it clear or not that you were using the Wizard to create your pages. See Jasons response for more info if you are :-)
